Danny GriffithSHERIFF OF WAYWARD PINES
No one quite remembers a time before Sheriff Griffith, especially not those fortunate or unfortunate souls who've awoken in Wayward Pines since February of '17. For years now, he's been doing his best to protect his town and everyone in it.
Unfortunately, this includes taking an active role in the web of deception enshrouding the town's true nature and enforcing the strict laws that kept that web securely intact. But despite the undeniable stain on his formerly spotless reputation, coming clean seems to have lifted a pretty big weight off his shoulders.
CURRENT STATUS: Running damage control; trying to atone.
Jonathan TownsendMAYOR OF WAYWARD PINES
Mayor Townsend is a small-town guy who may or may not be in way, way over his head. While he's never failed to do what he can to uncover the truth thus far, that truth turns out to be pretty big bite to chew, and Jon's increasingly sure he's not prepared or qualified to help the town he loves work through this crisis.
CURRENT STATUS: Reeling.
Charlotte RousseauTHERAPIST (CURRENT ORTECH LIASON)
In a small town like Wayward Pines, everyone who 'needs someone to talk to' seems to find their way to Dr. Rousseau. She has a reputation for listening, really listening to you, and offering practical, real-world advice instead of your typical 'shrink' mumbo-jumbo. Those who know her tend to trust her — which is likely why she was ultimately chosen as the Orphosis Biotechnologies liason, a position which by default earns her the least trust of any job left in the civilized world. So far, she seems to have taken it in stride.
CURRENT STATUS: Taxed but optimistic.
"Ortech"ORPHOSIS BIOTECHNOLOGIES
The short version? Ortech are the folks keeping everyone alive. In fact, they're keeping humanity alive — that's why you're here. (It's not, however, why you're in this reality in the first place... But that's a mess for another day.)
